From the Owner:
On March 18, 2020 Live.Love.Pet! closed its doors; almost one week earlier than the mayor's mandate for all non-essential businesses to stop operating to flatten the curve of Covid-19. It's amazing how much we have learned in the last weeks about ourselves, our community, even our world. Despite my personal feelings about how to categorize pet grooming as essential or not, is irrelevant. I knew that if the Mayor and the President were asking us to close, there was good reason, if following the law was not already a good enough reason. I knew we had to do the right thing, even if it meant laying off my 6 groomers & risking losing my business. So we closed and have been closed since March 18, 2020.
I Tru-ly believe that we are ALL ESSENTIAL in this pandemic and it is our actions that define us. Maybe your essential role is to go to a hospital everyday and care for the ill; or your role is to become a teacher and school your children for the first time; or maybe your role is to pick up prescriptions for your elderly aunties and uncles or walk their dogs; or maybe your role is simply just to stay home to flatten the curve so others don't get sick. With Lōkahi we will defeat Covid-19 and only blessings await us on the other side.
From the bottom of my heart, I know the essential role that dog grooming plays in the life of your pet and if you are still not comfortable leaving your home, please email me and I will try to help walk you through some steps for at-home care. If you need a ride because you take public transportation please email us. If you lost your job like us and don't have enough money, I will help as much as I can with your grooming costs during these challenging times.
It is our duty to protect those we love, 2 or 4 legged and Live.Love.Pet! will continue to do our part as best as we know how.
Dog Lover & Advocate,
Krystal
