"Aloha, a quick message from the owner, that's me, Krystal. There is no perfect groomer and stylist. But...there is a perfect groomer and stylist for your fur baby! Please talk to me! If any part of your experience left you feeling unsettled or unhappy, let me help. My groomers (and myself) are simply human (believe me, if we could be dogs, we would be!) ...and we all have our individual talents and personalities. Sometimes it takes some tweaking to learn about what is most important for you and your fur baby.
All of the groomers on our staff have been trained on Safety & Sanitation. They also all know how to Safely & Compassionately Groom your fur baby from Head-to-Tail, regardless of their styling level or ability. Obviously, the more experienced stylists will have a broader range of styling ability.
You should leave Live.Love.Pet! with your "tails wagging"...every single visit...which is why we offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee. Just notify us within 24 hours and we will do whatever we can to make it right.
I love dogs so much and I want what is best for them, even if it means losing your business. Grooming is expensive! You deserve to be happy with your choice of grooming salons. I am always here to listen and help you find the perfect groomer, and hopefully it will be with us at Live.Love.Pet! Much aloha and doggy kisses." -Krystal

Aloha, I am Krystal, owner of Live.Love.Pet! And a message to all pet owners out there... "Grooming should not be scary!!" After teaching elementary school for many years...Why did I become a pet groomer and open Live.Love.Pet!? Well that is a simple answer...I want to kiss dogs all day! I discovered my true passion and love lies within a doggy's heart and I want to make a difference in their lives. Grooming should not be scary! So I made a salon that is different from the others...a happy and loving place that my four-legged clients look forward to visiting! Sure, anyone with the skill set of scissoring can style a doggy's coat...but Live.Love.Pet! clients get the advantage of a positive experience, clear communication, a clean atmosphere, knowledge of all coat types for dogs of all sizes AND head-to-tail grooming and styling. My zen salon also uses aromatherapy's and compassion to create a unique "zen" style, grooming salon experience. I believe in doggy rehabilitation not muzzles. I believe that every doggy deserves to have a great experience at the groomer. And I believe every doggy is a show dog while on my table and should be treated that way. "Healthy pets are beautiful pets!" If you want a groomer who will genuinely care for your pet from head to tail and give him or her a great experience, as well as a great haircut, then I am the groomer for you! |
I attended world re-known Nash Academy as well as did an internship at the famous Sepia Academy in Tokyo, Japan. But honestly, most of my learning and growth has come from all of my diverse experiences I have had within my walls here at LLP as well as from all of the talented groomers that have passed through my doors. I am very blessed!
If only my pet clients could talk...I have a creative grooming style and I'm always open and honest with my human clients. My favorite breeds are actually Poi Dogs because I can look at any doggy and see a "show dog!" Which is why I put in our one of a kind red carpet. I specialize in senior doggies so if your baby needs that extra gentle touch, request me today. Many groomers do not realize that senior pet grooming is an entirely different field and techniques must change for your pet's safety and mine! I am currently taking select new & returning clients throughout the week. I also spend my week managing the other groomers, building client relationships & growing the business. |
Bonnie
|
Salon Manager
|
Bonnie moved to Oahu in June of 2014 and coincidentally helped Krystal open Live.Love.Pet! She worked the first six months before returning to her usual line of work. With business growing, in 2017 she returned to help her daughter manage the salon (and her new granddaughter!) Although Bonnie's expertise is in customer service and the culinary arts, she sure has unveiled a hidden passion, working with animals. She loves comforting nervous pets and under Krystal's supervision, has spent the last few years studying coat types and proper bathing, brushing, & de-shedding techniques as well as learning about skin care for all of our Hawaii pets that suffer from allergies.
"I love seeing the difference that a really good bath makes in the life of an animal. It's amazing how pets really appreciate a good snout scrub and massaging bath and they thank me with lots of hugs and kisses." Like Krystal, Bonnie has learned that the bath is the most important part of your grooming salon experience and it often is the part that is over-looked by so many groomers.
Bonnie has become an integral part of our staff and is so easy to talk to. If you have any questions about grooming or our business or making a great quiche or casserole, Bonnie always has a warm and loving ear. She works full-time and is always happy to help.

Dana has lifelong animal care experience. With 24 years as a professional dog stylist. Her background also includes cage free Doggy daycare, Veterinary assistance, and positive reinforcement training. More importantly, Dana is a Genuine Dog lover! Pets are her Passion. Her motto is Quality & Kindness. Rest assured your fur-kid will be cared for as if it was one of her own. Dana has always had a very close bond with animals, especially dogs. She caters to those with special needs (Puppies, seniors, scared, nervous, disabled) She has limitless patience for all dogs.
Puppies will receive a slow and gentle approach to their first grooming experience. As a puppy's first groom is the most important experience for a dog who needs regular grooming. The first visit will set the precedence for all future grooming. It's important to make this a fun and positive experience for not only the puppy, but the pet parents, and any future groomer who will groom the dog for many years ahead.
Dana also welcomes Senior dogs. She values and respects senior dogs and the lifetime of loyalty and love they provide. Senior dogs need a caring touch and understanding heart. They will be assisted with standing, and allowed to sit and even lay down for parts of the process that do not require standing. She takes caution in noticing the lumps, bumps & growths, such as warts & skin tags that develop on senior dogs. Specializing in nervous and scared dogs who may have previous grooming trauma, Dana welcomes the challenge to work with these dogs to change their perspective of the grooming process.
Unfortunately, groomers who rush a dog can severely damage the dog’s view of grooming. Dog baths are a time to gain trust and notice any bumps or tender spots on the dog. Things like washing a dog's face can be a trigger for those who have not had a patient bath. Drying a dog can be scary if not executed with skill and care. As part of Live Love Pets bathing and drying procedures, all dogs receive the gentlest caring and humane washing and drying procedures. Over time our system will prove that a groomer should not just make your dog look good but feel good as well. Grooming does not have to be scary or stressful. Dana also loves to groom large dogs. No dog is too big!
Dana has developed her craft over many years in the industry. Originally from Connecticut, her first experiences date all the way back to 12yrs old when she dreamed of being a veterinarian. Her uncle is a veterinarian and at the time was working at Cornell university. Dana would spend summers with her uncle who worked as a large animal veterinarian, specializing in horses and cows. She also assisted her aunt in the afternoons at her small animal veterinarian practice, treating dogs and cats. From there Dana worked as a veterinarian assistant throughout high school. Deciding the medical field wasn't for her. After graduation she moved to NYC where she joined Yuppie Puppy, America's first doggie daycare. This job changed everything for Dana. Owner Joe Sporn had also set out to be a veterinarian but, like Dana, found it to be extremely depressing work. So, to be in a positive environment, he opened America’s first Cage Free doggie daycare in 1987. Also, the inventor of the Sporn anti pull harness. The first humane harness. That applied pressure to the breastbone. Therefore, applying pressure to an area that wouldn't chock a pulling dog. After 2 years of doggie daycare bliss. She spent the 3rd year as a groomers apprentice. The master groomer at Yuppie Puppy taught Dana the art of hand scissoring and all breed dog grooming on the upper West Side of Manhattan. After 2 years of apprenticeship Dana went to NYC school of dog grooming and received her Master Stylist certificate in 2000. She continued at Yuppie Puppy until 2004 when she moved to San Diego, CA. Grooming in downtown San Diego for 4 years then another 2 in Scottsdale AZ. Finally returning to CT in 2009 she worked as a stylist for 4 more years then broke out on her own. Desiring to Raise the Bar in the grooming industry. She opened her own specialty service dog salon Dana's Natural Dog in 2014. After several successful years in Business. Between the Pandemic and a family illness, she closed her salon and decided to follow a new venture which brought her here to Honolulu in February of 2021. She spent the last few years grooming locally before finding her home here at Live.Love.Pet! where like-mindedness, when it comes to business ethics, core values, compassion for animals and kindness to clients, was a perfect match.
Dana looks forward to getting to know Live.Love.Pet!’s current and new clients and developing a long lasting relationship based on trust and respect.
