The Hawaiian Humane Society Needs Our Help – Pet Lovers Unite!

At Live.Love.Pet!, we’re not just pet groomers, we’re also animal lovers. That’s why we’re pleading to all animal lovers in Honolulu and the surrounding areas to please lend the Hawaiian Humane Society a hand. 


As Oahu’s only open-admission shelter, the HHS is currently home to over 70 cats and 50 dogs that are in desperate need of a happy home. To do your part and to meet a brand new furry best friend today, point your GPS to 2700 Waialae Avenue, Honolulu, HI 96826 and walk into the shelter anytime from 11 AM to 6:30 PM on weekdays and 10 AM to 3:30 PM on weekends to tell the staff that you’d like to adopt.

With all those cats and all those dogs, you’re bound to find a pet that absolutely melts your heart. And let’s be honest: who doesn't love a little unconditional love?

Your new pet will be so glad to see you, and that’s just the beginning. You’ll have plenty of time to get to know one another and have all kinds of fun, but first you need to show up and pick your new friend out.

The Hawaiian Humane Society takes in about 70 new arrivals daily, and there is only so much room. The good news is that the Humane Society will hold those pets for as long as they need to, or at least until good homes become available. The bad news is that all those poor babies are sitting in kennels, hoping that someone will come rescue them.
